JRN 200 Fake ID recap

I interviewed Allie Cetina, an underage MSU student and Jenna Morris.

Allie and Jenna were basically on the same page about the fake ID use at MSU. They both talked about how the bars are really easy here to get into; there is no real trouble with that.

They both talked about how a lot of their friends all have fake IDs as well and go out with them every weekend.

Cetina doesn’t even have a fake ID, and can still manage to get into the bar, she said.

Cetina and Morris both said that they feel comfortable using fake IDs to the bars but are little bit more scared when it comes to trying them out at the local liquor stores on campus. 

JRN 200 Blog Preview of Fake ID use at MSU

I am doing a story on fake ID use at Michigan State University, and I am going to talk to a few students and get some insight on how they feel about the matter. I am going to talk to bouncers at Rick’sAmerican Café and The Land Shark Bar and Grill in East Lansing. I’m going to talk to the bouncers and see what happens when fake IDs come across their hands and if the police get involved. I am going to try to interview some students who are underage and have friends that use fake IDs to get in to the bars. Also I am going to try to discover if the liquor stores are hard on the students when using fake IDs.
